Carrie is dedicated to animal welfare, as reflected in her work with The German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angles. She regularly volunteers her time both at events to raise awareness and much needed funds, as well as putting in time at the rescue facility.
Carrie facilitates the dog adoptions, helping families find the right fit, she drives to various shelters to bail out dogs on the kill list, and makes many trips to vet to make sure the dogs are healthy and happy. Carrie also opens her home to foster dogs that are recovering from surgery, dogs who need a little extra TLC and puppies too young to be at the rescue.
Every year Carrie participates in The Best Friends Animal Society's Strut Your Mutt. A fun dog walk and fundraising event raising money to save the lives of homeless pets.
All funds raised by Carrie go to support The German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles.
2018's event was October 20th at Exposition Park.
